Environmental Training Course: Waste Legislation - An Overview


With the range of environmental legislation growing and greater responsibility being placed on waste producers, this course provides an excellent overview of the current legislation requirements and can help both businesses and public sector bodies to work towards regulatory compliance.

The course content includes:
  • Overview of waste management legislation
  • Legislation controlling the production of waste - Duty of Care for Waste, trade effluents, hazardous waste and animal by-products legislation
  • Producer responsibility legislation - Landfill Tax, the Packaging Waste Regulations, WEEE Directive and End of Life Vehicles
  • Waste management legislation controlling the collection, transport and disposal of waste with particular reference to waste producers
The course is supplemented with case studies and workshop exercises supported by written notes and guidance.
