Environmental Training: The Hazardous Waste Regulations – Ensuring Compliance
The course provides producers of hazardous waste with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure that their organisations are equipped to comply with the Hazardous Waste Regulations. Delegates will receive training in both the regulations and the internal procedures needed to ensure that legislative requirements are met.
The course is targeted to those people dealing with hazardous waste or those developing internal procedures to meet the legislation.
Some prior knowledge of waste management and the legislative requirements of waste is preferred although not essential.
The course content includes:
- Background to waste issues in the UK
- The Hazardous Waste Regulations in detail
- Assigning EWC codes
- Waste management
- Administration and record keeping
- Enforcement
The course is supplemented with exercises and reference notes to help embed key points delivered in the taught session.
